J's Chimes: Learn To Count In Japanese By Rapping

A nice way of learning Japanese is by doing something really whacky to keep it stuck to your brain. One such is by rapping some seriously lame song with numbers as the lyrics in Japanese. Even so it does help you to remember a couple of it. Anyway you can learn a bit of Japanese from this website here which created this video. Well it does help a bit but at least they're teaching you Japanese for free...

J's Chimes: Space Battleship Yamato

Besides Sucker Punch, a Japanese movie also debuts just recently on the 24 March 2011. Titled Space Battleship Yamato, this classic anime is now given the live action treatment by none other than the famous Takuya Kimura from the popular show Absolute Boyfriend, etc. Wanted to catch this movie somehow but was caught up with Sucker Punch at the moment....

It's not an everyday thing animes become live action directed by Japan themselves. in any case this is much better than Hollywood's Dragonball and such.

J's Chimes: Sucker Punch

Am so gonna watch this when it opens today... In any case am pretty much fond with the mechanics and stuff as it looks gorgeous (The girls too) and it reminds me of games from Starcraft to Warhammer, Warcraft and whatever videogames similar to this combined...

A little preview of this awesome CG movie that will blow you away... And probably when ya already read this post, will be preparing to travel to town to watch this asap now lol...

J's Chimes: Ninja Fails...

A rather new game that's launched some time ago that's receiving some positive feedback all thanks to the comedic scenes in game too. Shogun 2 : Total War is a strategy game which pretty much resembles games like Command And Conquer to Warcraft. Anyhow, some people manage to compile a collection of hilarious Ninja fails for the benefit of us to watch...

Taken from Shogun 2 Total War. Comprises of about all the comedic moments of Ninja fails...

Part 1 of the Shogun series. Complete with extreme fatalities and epic failures...

J's Chimes: Classic Cartoons

Back in those days where Japanese animes are not a very common thing in television programmes, cartoons from the US are a norm and airs at various times of the day. One such classic cartoons am fond of that time is none other than Tiny Toon Adventures back when I was little. One nice example of this funny cartoon is this episode where parodies of music are made...

'It's In His Kiss' is a popular oldies song that was also sung by Cher in her music album. However so, a parody is made which is extremely funny... None of these sort of cartoon now exist in the present day now...

This ones my personal favorite. Another oldies song titled 'Do You Love Me' by the Contours. Though they make i a little funny with this video. Worth to watch... perhaps ya should Youtube more for it...

J's Chimes: Kimi Ni Todoke PV

The music video for the ever so popular animation titled Kimi Ni Todoke is finally out and at last, you've got to see the singer's appearance after hearing so much of this song... Titled Kimi Ni Todoke, this song has the same name as the anime and is one of the best this season. This PV also shows 3 different scenarios of separation which tends to get you all emotional...

And for those who don't know what is, here's the original ending theme from the anime Kimi Ni Todoke. Till now, this animation impresses me with all its music and songs used in it. Fitting for an emotional love story which is loved by many...

J's Chimes: Relive Sailor Moon In Live Action...

It's been so long since I've watch Sailor Moon. Back in the old days, this anime was aired on a mandarin television channel in Singapore. Would watch it from time to time as back then I wasn't really into anime yet. And now this had became a classic which is still a favourite till now. So back in 2006, a live action drama series was made somehow....

And here's the opening introduction of the live action series Sailor Moon... The CG aren't as good though but it was a hit back then in 2006. Well in any case, it's kinda exaggerated in many ways but still cool to watch...

An example of a fight scene can be seen as above. Kinda fancy and funny and pretty much seems like a Power Ranger series... Nevertheless, its kinda nice due after watching a few episodes here and there...

J's Chimes: Sushi Making Fun...

I for one find this little toy pretty amusing and sushi making fans might probably like... Seems that some company decides to make sushi making into a little toy in which many could play with. It's pretty amazing how ya can make such stuff using just water and the powder given. However the case, these are none edible because of its chemical content... Nonetheless, it does look appealing even though its rather small... Such toys would probably not last because of what it's made off... Perhaps just for a short entertainment sake...

J's Chimes: An English Surprise...

Episode 7 of the famous ecchi anime Oniichan No Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara Ne (I don't love my brother at all) comes as a surprise to me due to the fact that the opening theme song is replace with an English song titled 'What Is Love?' sung by Haddway. I truly did not edit this as this is what's really being aired in this latest episode...

The original opening theme song title Taste of Paradise can be view here as shown above. Still can't get used to the surprising theme song for episode 7 but somehow its unique in a way or another...

And the original song 'What Is Love?' sung by Haddway can be viewed here. Retro songs MTVs are weird in some sense or another. I guess we are living in the 21st century now that's why...

Perhaps the most shocking one was the ending theme of Oniichan No Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara Ne being replace with Lady Gaga's Bad Romance... With no apparent reason at all, this however seems pretty nice and strange for it to appear in an anime such as this. Not that I want to complain because it seems pretty cool in a way or another...

And this would be the original theme song for the ending credits of Oniichan No Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara Ne. Suddenly this song seems so cute as to compare to after hearing Lady Gagas voice... It's kinda hard to adapt back now lol...

The original MTV of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance can be viewed as above. So much more different than I would expect so why the heck is it suddenly put into this anime as an ending theme song is truly a mystery...

J's Chimes: Dead Island

With the success of other zombie or apocalyptic games like Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising to Dead Space, it seems like a new type of survival horror game is in the works somehow. Titled Dead Island, the apocalypse now takes place on an island resort. Not much other details are given though expect that this would be another FPS game.

It is yet unclear when will this game be release but it would be the next best thing in zombie warfare after Left 4 Dead. Hopefully, there would be more reviews on such in the coming days ahead.

J's Chimes: Japanese Culture In Other Countries...

Anime and such aren't just popular in Japan, but also to other parts of the world as well. One such example would be Finland where this news and documentary titled Uutimixi tells us about the increasing popularity of this culture in their own country and such has led to fashions such as Lolita outfits and such worn there. Sometimes just thinking about it is amazing... And to think many people weren't very much in tune with the Japanese culture...

J's Chimes: Shake Your Bootie...

Happened to come across this fan made video which consists of many various animes put together to make some sort of a music video. Kinda 'Creative' if I do say so myself and somewhat addictive in a sense or 2. Perhaps it will brighten up your Saturday morning a little...

J's Chimes: Merlion Maddness...

For better or for worse, it seems like Singapore's one and only Merlion has become quite a target for manga artists and even animes. Often these are use in rather comedic moments which somehow amazes even me that it could be made into something... humorous.

Sure is creative for artists to compare drunkards with it... Not an everyday thing to see some Singapore themed items or stuffs used in Japanese mangas...

Once again, this anime titled Seitokai No Ichizon surprises me when the Singapore Merlion and the flag suddenly appears out of nowhere...

J's Chimes: May The Force Be With You...

A Star Wars Parody Commerical too good not to pass... I just love commercials like this don't you? However sometimes I wonder how will Lucafilms reacted to such though. I guess paying tribute to this epic movie certainly has its advantages and had gathered more than 21 million views worldwide in YouTube...

J's Chimes: Sexy Art

And just when you thought this drawing is R18, an artist works a little magic and changes it into something exceptionally amazing... Perhaps next time you could learn from him and do this to your friends too... They may be offended a little but will soon be awed by your amazing 'creativity'...

J's Chimes: The New Portable NGP

The next generation portable gaming console known as the NGP, will be the next new thing to be released by Sony later this year. As impressive as it is, the NGP comes wih analog joysticks just like the PS3 controller. It is also a bit bigger than the ordinary PSP and features more resolutions that brings about sharper images and gameplay. However, it is been review that such comes with a price...

The NGP does not allow battery changing and is sealed tight just like the Iphone. With its battery life of 4 - 5 hours , many were concern as it does not seemed to last really long as to compared with the 3DS which has an hour more on top of it. That means that for almost every trip out with your handheld gaming console, you'd need to probably charge it frequently and almost daily for that.

However the NGP does come with many new stuff from touch screen gaming and many more.... Perhaps a short video would describe much more than I could say. Whether or not this will take off successfully depends on how Sony is able to convince the public that its well worth it despite the minor issues being address...

J's Chimes: Witch Fail...

One of the funniest Left 4 Dead videos around that will surely make your day. Through the many wacky videos posted in YouTube, this video about the relentless witch won the awards of being the most simple-minded of all. Being so would resulted in a catastrophic end worthy of laughing till you cry...

J's Chimes: Custom Maid 3D Awes...

Apart from Illusion Soft, Eroge company KISS finally debuts a 3D eroge known as Custom Maid 3D. Somehow or rather, it looks similar to the title 3D Custom Girl but with additional modes as seen in the videos below. Trying to get my hands on it for a better review, other than that the graphics are somewhat astounding. What's even better is that you could customise just about anything you'd want. Perhaps a quick video would show you more...

Seems like the characters are completely customizable with this new game, eroges can't get any better than this... Remembered them being pixels and in 2D in the past but things sure change over the years...

My personal favorite would be the dance scene wich is so much like the Idolmaster style kinda game. All eyes will be on this game pretty soon because of it as Idolmaster fans will soon take notice of it soon enough. Gathering more info about this game so stay tune for more...

J's Chimes: Never Judge A Teacher By Its Cover...

Just when you thought that this is good, wait till you see what happens next. Perhaps you should reconsider and never to judge a book by its cover so soon... If classes were like this, I believe many will fall ill real soon with such an amazing sight to behold...

J's Chimes: The Dead Are Back For More Space...

Once again the popular Survival Horror game titled Dead Space is back with a second installment. More gruesome and intense than ever, Dead Space will surely make you scream and go crazy while fighting for survival. Released on the 25 Jan 2011 this year, Dead Space 2 features both singleplayer and multiplayer mode to fight the monsters known as Necromorphs.

Engineer Isaac Clarke returns in Dead Space 2 for another blood-curdling adventure in the sequel to Dead Space 1. After waking from a coma on a massive space city known as "The Sprawl", the lone survivor of a horrific alien infestation finds himself confronting a catastrophic new nightmare. Battling dementia, hunted by the government, and haunted by visions of his dead girlfriend, Isaac will do whatever it takes to save himself and dominate the gruesome onslaught.

The game's pretty cinematic and gives a great and deadly ambiance of the infested station that crawls with the many necromorphs that roamed the place. Not every moment is calm or a safe haven as the second installment releases more terror than ever before, leaving you at the mercy of those flesh ripping monsters. Dead Space 2 currently retails at approximately SGD$58 and above so you might wanna grab a copy because its a recommended game for this year...

Yup, whatever you might see here is the actual footage and gameplay of the game. If you have yet to know what Dead Space is about, there's even a recap mode in the game mode. Or you could even simply purchase Dead Space 1 and play it as it's now a platinum hit which is priced at SGD$39.90 each. You can also visit the website here for more info. Time to survive the horror once again...
