Russian artist Karanak has recently been developing a reputation for his outstandingly sexy illustrations of scantily clad young ladies, and they certainly make for interesting viewing.
Maintaining the connection between beautiful girls and giant robots also seem to be a priority for him – like Masamune Shirow he maintains an impressive sideline in mecha (or possibly it is bishoujo which are the sideline…), although for some reason amongst admirers these inspire less excitement than his scantily clad bishoujo.
Karanak would also make for an impressive artist progress chart – his works show very significant improvement over recent years, and have happily managed to avoid becoming too much like those of his favourite artist Tony, although the similarities remain very strong.
